Every winter at Edison we have a food drive. From December third to the twelfth, you can donate food to families who might not be able to afford it. Around the winter holidays is a time for happiness, and getting food can make people be happy, right? You can put all the canned and non-perishable foods in designated boxes in your classroom. Remember, the more food you donate the more happiness! (Image from: www.beloitfcc.org)

Editorial: Chocolate is a Vegetable
By Sam G., Grade 5
I would like to educate parents about chocolate. Yes, chocolate is a vegetable. Parents, unless you want your kids to eat chocolate, don’t tell your kids to eat their vegetables. I have proof that chocolate is a vegetable because it comes from beans which come from a plant (see photo at right). I am Sam, and I approve this message. (Image from: myfoodprint.wordpress.com)
